I know you all had Christmas resolutions or wishes that you want to attain. Here's mine:
1. Scrap more.. Hopefully my mojo will come back again.
2. Have tons of photos printed.
3. Clean my DLSR lenses.
4. Go to my dentist as I badly needed a teeth filling and cleaning
5. Work on my photobooks that I started this month.
6. Arrange closets and get rid of old clothes
7. Be more patient and hardworking next year
8. Sort out digi- scrapping files and get rid of not used kits

On Holiday

Hey there scrappers, I hope you all had a great Christmas break with your family and friends.! My family went on a holiday in Hongkong and we had a blast. I'm sneaking to make a post because I need to check out some digi freebies and term life ins online. I have tons of Christmas photos to be scrapped soon so I need some new Christmas kits and freebies that I can hoard. I know I can't scrap right now but I hope when my mojo will come back I can scrap.

My Photobook Re-order is NOT coming yet

Ok I'm getting impatient now, I re-ordered a a 8x8 photobook from artscow last end of of October and it's gonna be my Christmas present for my niece but sadly it has not arrived yet. I'm just preaying that it is not stolen or lost in the mail.

It was really weird because the 7x5 brag book that I ordered early Nov. arrived already! I already emailed artscow about this and they told me to wait till 8th and if not I need to contact them once again. I've been a regular client of artscow and my order always arrived eventhough there are times it is late.

I just hope it's not lost or else they need to replace it. I do understand that there are instances where mails or communion invitations and other stuff are lost in the deliver so I am not fuming mad (yet). I still love ARTSCOW! I just need to wait.

Funky Winter Christmas Digi-Kit

Now that I'm finished looking for floor tiles online, it's time to look for some nice Christmas kits online. I found this FUNKY WINTER Christmas digi kit by Bellisae and Ange that I can use for our Christmas photos. I'm sure we'll all have plenty of them (photos) this year since we'll be having a family reunion. My online friend Glo in the US gave me these 2 ideas books: Clean and Simple by Cathy Zielske and The Big Picture by Stacy Julian few months back and I can that these books are worth reading because you'll get lots of ideas for your scrapping (digi- or the traditional way).

Though I have not read all the articles and the tips that the authors have shared, I know that anyone who'll ever get to hold on to these books will enjoy and can apply what they have learned on the book. I particularly like Cathy Zeilske's scrapping style and the way she writes the journaling.

Just in case you are idle at the moment bec. of stopped employment or maybe a sahm, why not try scrapbooking whether it be digital or paper. You'll find it therapeutic, relaxing, and enjoyable to scrap all your photos and turn them into wonderful memories.

Here's a review of the camera, I was wowed:

Eventhough I wanted to upgrade my Canon 400d to a much latest model from Canon, I'm still can't afford to do so because mine is still working great despite the fact that it has a dust on the lens :(. I also just bought a Canon 18-200mm lens last year and buying new DSLR is not in my priority right now. How'd I wish it's only as cheap as refurbished laptops. Oh well, Christmas is coming so I have different priorities, maybe in the future I can upgrade.

Sorry for the slow updates here because I'm just too busy with some online works and pre-occupied about our upcoming HK trip in December. I just heard from my friend Caryl who is in HK that it's about 10C now there and probably will drop more in December so I'm contemplating if I'm still going to buy boots like this UGG Classic Tall. Knowing that we'll only be there for only 4 days and there's no way I can use it again, I guess I will just use rubber shoes for the trip.

Updating my Project 365 Photobook Layout and more

Poor thing, I wasn't able to shop for discounted digital scrapbooking kits during the {inter}National Digital Scrapbooking Day! Oh how I missed those sales. Last year I was able to grab some nice kits at half the price or for only $2 now I got none. Anyway, I was too busy with so many things that I was not interested in grabbing any and actually I was not even excited about it unlike the previous years. Maybe because I am not scrapping much lately.

Yesterday, luckily I got some free time in the afternoon and I was in the mood to open my Photoshop so I updated my Project 365 (photo-a-day) layouts. I was actually behind for about 4 weeks so I hurriedly scrapped some pages and I am happy with the results. I was really tired that afternoon and it's a good fat burner for me since I am sweating (no AC that time) that time.

Right now I'm on my 1st week of November layout and few more weeks I'll be able to finish it already. I can't wait to have it printed over at ARTSCOW (where else) once again.

I just love Simply Yin's templates and her style of scrapping. Actually I have used her templates, which i re-arranged to suit the layout that I wanted. It makes my life a bit easier when I use it on my photobooks. Here's another template from her free to download. She is so generous. My 6th ARTSCOW 39 pages 8 x 8 Photobook

This is my 6th ARTSCOW 39 pages 8 x 8 photobook that came last October 20th after over a month of ordering. I did understand the delay because we had a great flood here last month that for sure contributed to the delay. Anyway, I am so happy with the results once again.

Notice the stitch that holds the photobook thus making it more durable and you can lay it flat out without worrying that the pages will fall off.

Digital Scrapbooking and Learning Online

I know and have some friends who after getting married, giving birth and started their own family have sacrificed a lot in terms of their careers. Some have quit their job to fully take care of their family while some stayed at home but learned to devote their time to scrapbooking and earning online.

Years passed by and some of the work at home moms are also looking for different kind of satisfaction other being a mom and a digital scrapbooker. They can still however continue their studies as there are online university that they can enroll without leaving at the comforts of their homes.

Patiently Waiting for My Photobook

I ordered an 8x8 40 page PHOTOBOOK this month from ARTSCOW and I got a notices that it was already shipped already last Sept. 16 but until now it has not arrived bec. of the typhoon.

I do understand why it has not arrived till now because as you all know Phils. was battered by a very destructive typhoon last week and flooding are all over the place so it is not possible for the postmen to deliver the letters and all. Everyone is also busy cleaning the mess and getting their lives back, while some are still at the evacuation centers. It is also depressing to know that many lives are gone and they simply have no insurances like that of Blue Advantage.

I will patiently wait for my photobook to come but we heard that there a new typhoon is here in the country.

I love Photoshop and I am still learning more about it. I have "actions" that can easily do some wonders of my photos but it is also good to learn to do it manually. Here's a Very easy to follow Manual Selective Color Tutorial in Photoshop CS3.

Steps on manual Selective Coloring Tutorial in Photoshop CS3

1. Convert your photo into black and white (BW) by clicking the "Create new fill or adjustment layer" . You can adjust the setting if you want according to your liking.

2. Set your foreground color to BLACK.


3. CLICK on you BRUSH tool and start brushing on your desired area. I picked the lips of Bratz here. Zoom your image so you can see it better. Flatten Image then save.

That's it. You're Done.
