Christmas 2008

How are you all? I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas like what we had. I's been a good year for me and I hope this coming here my online works will still continue and my internet cafe will also be stable. We all know that there is a financial crisis globally these days and I hope it will not affect our country much. There are many alternatives that we can do, in fact we can set up a home business that we like, in that way, we can still generate extra money.

I hope 2009 will be a fruitful year for all of us. Happy New Year!!

I’ve been bitten by the Artscow Photobook Bug

Oh yeah you read it right! I have been hearing about photobook from co-digiscrappers for sometime now but I am not really paying much attention to it bec. I know it is quite expensive to order one esp. online. One time my co-digiscrappers Aggie and Diane showed their finished photobooks and told the prices that they ordered from Artscow, then that is the time that I was inspired to make one for myself.

I am very thankful bec. they have shared it to us, never thought that I can order online on such very cheap price. Right now, I am making some layouts for my Australian Vacation photobook and I am hoping I can have it printed 8”x 8’ with hard bound case.

I am pretty excited, and in fact I have made about 18 layouts so far (yey congrats to me!!) and I am still inspired to finish a 39 pages photobook. Wish me luck guys hehe!! I will share layouts soon bec. I have not yet saved them as jpeg, it’s still on photoshop format so I can still edit when needed.

Wee… with all the artscow madness that we are having among my co-digiscrappers, I am still lucky I was bitten by this bug and not something else. At least I keep myself occupied and artistic , digi-scrapping keeps me away from other worries in life. Hope you can try digi-scrapping as a hobby, another good for of exercise (of the mind and creativity). Ok gotta go, I’m going to make new layout before I go home and I have to research about Apidexin online.

Freebie Hunting

Christmas is coming!! Are you all excited? I have been freebie hunting these days for digi-scrapping kits or samples from different designers online for my photobook. There are actually lots of Christmas kits all over the net and I have downloaded few of them. found some nice quickpages too just in case I have no more time to scrap a new layout.

I know a lot of scrappers will be on vacation already, hmm many in vegas or carribean, ahhhhh would love to be there and leave some worries and scrapping aside for a while. I just envy those who are away this holiday. Anyway, while they are away, I’ll just be scrapping and free hunting till I drop.. lol

My Canon Wireless Remote Control RC1

My co-twitters/digi-scrappers had a kris kringle or exchange gift and via online bunutan (raffle) we are given a "baby" and of course someone will pick my name.

And look what I got at the mail the other day. I am smiling from ear to ear when I saw this package in my desk that morning and I know it was from my "mommy", can't reveal who is she yet bec. not all of us have received our gifts already. She was suppose to get my 1st priority the Lens Hood but she sais it was out of stock but it's ok with me.

Thank you thank you Mommy! Love it and I will definitely use it esp. this Christmas when we will have group shots. I don't need to run in my place when I clicked timer on, this time I can click the remote anytime I want.

Now I Want a Tracy Joy Bag??

Just bought my 6M Crumpler bag few weeks ago and I have not used it to go some place, it's just in my locker for sometime now and here I am wanting a Tracy Joy bag. Gosh what is happening to me?? boy oh boy!! Ok, I saw that my sister JoyD got her new Tracy Joy bag just this week and she is lovin' it, that is why I wanted one. Oh no, i don't really get satisfied..boo..

Anyway, I already got my new Canon remote control fro my DSLR from my Twitter mommy and that makes me one happy girl hehe. Oh well at least I am not craving for an
Oscar de la Renta shoes this time. I need to be satisfied with what I have right now or else I'll be a shopaholic girl.

A Christmas QP

Click image to download at the designer's blog
Isn't Christmas a lot of fun? Everyone seems to be joyous and giving and why not? Christmas is really for gift giving aside from sharing love of course. Designers are also generous with us scrappers so they never failed to make us beautiful quickpages so that we can just slip our photos that we will be taking during this 2008 holidays.

I am betting that most of us scrapper will be on holidays and setting aside scrapping for a while and probably would be enjoying time with the family in Disneyland or perhaps a cruise.  This is the time of the year where most family bond together. Ahhhh I'm really looking forward for the holidays.

Freebie Christmas Quickpages up for grabs

Hey scrappers, Christmas is really just around the corner and are you already feeling the spirit? I am if you gonna ask me, i can feel the people is somewhat rushing or is it only me while shopping. I was at the mall last Sunday and oh boy it is jampacked already. I know most of us scrappers will have tons of photos this Christmas and is perfect to scrap them and keep them as souvenirs so here's qucikpages that you might want to download.

Right now, I am scrapping for the photobook that I am making and I hope I can finish that early next year so I can see the finished product. In the meantime I need to search for some insurance quotes online and will continue my scrapping in a bit. Happy scrapping every one!

My new 6 Million Dollar Crumpler Camera Bag

yay, almost forgot to share this here.....As you all know it's my bday last Nov. 16th and as a gift for myself this year, bought myself a new Canon 18-200mm IS lens that I bought at Henry's. Last Saturday, my friend and I went to Greenhills shopping center to buy some stuff and just to canvass for a camera bag. I really have no intentions of buying a camera bag that day but when I saw this crumpler bag, I can't let it go and so I bought it after much thinking and scrutinizing the inside and out of the bag.

That day i brought along my DSLR cam and my old Lowepro bag so I was able to test if the camera and other lens fits in it. I bought this Dark Brown/Oatmeal/Light Olive color 6 Million Dollar Crumpler Camera Bag and it doesn't look like the old fashioned video/cam bag. I can use it and still look fashionable.
front

You can put cover on the camera and lens for more protection and added space. You can even put your charger, extra stuff "abubots". There are also front pocket ( I wasn't able to take photo of it). Love this bag bec. I can put my wallet and more when I go out. It is perfect for travel, very roomy, and I feel like my camera and other accessories will be well protected. The only downside I guess is that it is a bit a big for me as a walk around bag since I am just small & petite. wink*

Where to buy?
Crumpler Store at SM Megamall
Digital Walker at Virra Mall
or online at Crumpler US
Amazon

I miss Digi-Scrapping

... ....badly! The last full digital scrapbooking layout that I made was in July 2008 but I was able to make a digi layout for my niece's 18th b-day tarpaulin. My co-bebots are talking about scrapping over at Twitter and just today I they insipired me because of the hard bound photobook that they ordered over at Artscow.

I hope one day I can finish my Australian vacation layouts so I can have them printed. I can't beleive that it as so cheap to have it printed over at Artscow. I am so happy I have found friends through digital scrapbooking, gosh my co-Bebots (as we call each other) are so very generous in sharing tips on where to have our layouts printed at a much cheaper price. Hmm i need to gear up myself soon so I can finish a 20 pages photobook for myself.

Digital Scrapbooking is so much fun, if you haven't tried it yet you've got to. You just need to be patient in order to finish a layout that usually takes hours. If you are not patient, forget it haha.

You can see some of my digi - layouts here and here is my SCRAPS & SHOTS blog, there are some freebies there.

More Digital Christmas Quickpages etc.Freebies

CLICK IMAGES to download them at designer's blogsJust wanted to share these Christmas Quick Pages (QP), photocards and elements that I found while browsing some of the designer's blogs. Isn't it amazing that designers are really so generous in sharing their creations Just click all the images and you will be redirected at the designer's blogs. Ahhh I miss those days when I use to design digi-kits and give some freebies as well.
Wow, Christmas is just few more days and have your started your Christmas shopping? Me, I will shop by next week and hopefully it will not be that hard yet. I still have to think about what to buy for bro, a long sleeve perhaps? Hmm I'll still think about that. I have started my list already last weekend and hopefully finish it this week. Yay I'm excited now.

Such a Bookworm

I dunno but I have no passion for reading books that is why those that love reading are envied by me. I have a friend that can read a book in just one sitting esp. if she likes the story of it and I consider her to be a wide reader. This Christmas I know I will not have a hard thinking what to give her bec. I know this she will love this " A New Earth, Awakening to Your Life's Purpose" by Eckhart Tolle. Yay, I hope she will not read this or else it’s not a surprise anymore. I hope I get a photography book too, would love to have the "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson. Anyone wants to give me this? Wink.

My New Canon EFS 18-200mm IS (image stabilizer) lens /f 3.5-5.6

Ok i have been saving a lot these past few days bec. I really wanted to buy a new lens for my camera. Finally, yesterday I went to Quaipo trying to be careful bec. of the cash I am carrying and went to the camera shops to look for the lens that i wanted but not every store has it since it was just recently released by Canon.

It was at HENRY's in Hidalgo, Quiapo (where i also bought my camera) where I bought my Canon EFS 18-200mm IS (image stabilizer) lens /f 3.5-5.6. I am trying to haggle for the price but my charm didn't work haha, they said that price is like that which I agree. Anyway, I bought it since I really wanted the focal range of it and this is the b-day gift for myself.

O talagang siningit ko pa mukha ko haha.
I was really overwhelmed with how big the lens is, imagine I was just using my 50mm 1.8 lens then shifted with a bigger lens. Wow, it was a bit heavy coz I got small hands but I know I will get used to it in no time.

I tested this morning and Here are
Sample shots.

@18mm ---------------@55mm

@135mm -------------------@200mm

I love the focal range of this new lens of mine but still I love my nifty fifty 50mm more bec. of the 1.8 aperture of it. Oh well, i got a new baby again and gosh I got a hole in my pocket now. pweeeh..

Freebies Alert:: Christmas Kit

I went shopping last Sunday to buy new decors for our small Christmas Tree and I had fun putting up the tree and decorating it last night. My color theme for this year is orange with touch of gold.

Anyway, Diane a co-digiscrapper of mine alerted us with this very pretty kit Holiday Spirit by Lisa Whitney. When I saw it I could not resist not to download it. It may seem early but at least we'll have kits to use when we scrap our Christmas photos. Download it at LISA WHITNEY's blog and don't forget to say thank you!

Random Photos To Share

beauty

paper boat

~friends~
Just wanted to share some random photos that I have posted on my other blogs. As you all know, I am planning to buy a new lens this month (a b-day gift for myself) hoping to have a nice wide and zoom lens for my cam. I have been using my 50mm1.8 lens all the time and sometimes I need a wider lens so I thought I needed a new one. At first I wanted to buy a watch (yes again!) like those Festina watches but I will put that aside for now so I can buy a new Canon 18-200mmIS lens just in time for my b-day on Sunday. Keeping my fingers crossed on this one. Will let you all know once i bought my dream lens already.

Hello digi-scrappers, have you shopped last Digital Scrapbooking Day? For sure some of you have filled their shopping carts with tons of digi kits bec. most of the shops has 50% off their kits which is much awaited by digi scrappers. I wanted to buy something at Catscrap but oh my goodness their site crashed bec. for sure there are lots of shoppers wanted to access their site at the same time.

Too bad I wasn't able to buy anything, I was just contented on "window shopping" for kits. It's a shame I didn't buy anything but there's always a next year. Right now, I also don't have any time to scrap, i have tons of pictures that are waiting to be scrapped but with my online duties, it's hard to concentrate on that. The pictures on my DSLR needs to be moved to my hard drive as well, but I'm too lazy to do that right now, if only movers New York can do that for me then I'll be so happy. I also have a contest goin on my other blog so that keeps me busy this days. See y'all..

Can’t Decide What Camera Bag to Buy

If you have seen my Birthday Wish List that I have then perhaps you have read that camera bags are in my list. It’s there bec. I am also buying a new lens, if God permits next month and if that will happen the camera with the new lens will not fit the small Lowe Pro camera bag that I have right now. I am considering a Tracy Joy bag where a lot of my co-Bebots are using already, I still need to hear more reviews about this bag at least it is not expensive like Samsonite luggage hehe. Anyway, I am also eyeing Crumpler Bag, I saw the Crumpler Store in SM Megamall last year when I went there and the 5 million dollar bag is a bit big for my liking and it’s quite expensive too.

I also can consider another Lowe pro bag , much bigger of course bec. I know it is durable. Oh well, I think I will just wait for my new lens and then I will decide which one is the best for all my digital photography gadgets. This new hobby of mine is kinda expensive I can tell ya.

Freebies Alert:

Click Images to download at designer's blogs

After lunch time yesterday, before going to the mall, I found time to hunt for some digi freefies and here are my finds and I want to share it with you. Even though I have not been scrapping lately, I still hunt for freebies and download them of course. In the next month or so I know my hardrive will burst already since it is full of freebies and my other files. I really really wish I can get my hand on scrapping again as it gives difference pleasure once you finished a layout. I just envy my co-Bebots who really have insiprations to scrap.. Sigghhhh when will I ever scrap again that is the question. Anyway, before I will rant some more I need to find what is this Hydroxycut hardcore that I have been hearing.

:Litratong Pinoy: Liwanag

Tignan nyo.

(This was taken at the old house of my deceased grandmother. It was already turned into a stock room already but you can still see the chair where my grandpa and granma used to sit until they died. You can see the beam of light that wanted to come inside the old window it seems it wantd to give life to the unhappy room.)

: My B-day Gadget Wish List :

My birthday is coming next month and I have been saving a lot by not going to shopping malls or shopping online like what my co- Bebots had done or buying digital kits lately (except for the 2 $1 each loot that I got 2 weeks ago)bec. I am saving to probably buy one or 2 on my wish list. I also like unlocked cell phones but that will have a time, I badly need a new lens and other stuff for my Rebel. Donations are very much welcome via my paypal hahaha.

On my list are:
1. Canon EFS 18-200mm IS lens (love the zoom range and the IS Image stabilizer feature)
2. Canon Speedlite Flash
3. Canon Wireless Remote Control
4. 5 Million Dollar Crumpler camera bag or Tracy Joy Bag
