Proj. 365: Attentive

PROJECT 365: Attentive
March-25 (Wednesday)-Day-84
Ahhhh.. what a hot hot day it was.. I was too lazy to be creative that day. I took a silly shot of myself but it was so yucky to even share this.

It's already mid afternoon and I was looking for something to take photo of. Good thing is that my niece is always there to be my subject. Caught her tinkering and playing games on her dad's mobile and she looks so attentive.

Project 365: Sponge Bob Day

PROJECT 365: Sponge Bob
Happy Sponge Bob
Sponge Bob, a girl??
My nephew Dither came home from school the other day after their mini presentation as part of their extra curricular activities. He is wearing this spongebob thing that his dad made the other week made of an empty box.

He is lucky that his dad knows how to draw that's why his project turned out nice. His sister Reign happily posing beside him aka Sponge Bob. Yesterday we had a lot of fun bec. my older teenage niece wore it and pose at the gate where people are passing by. Every time she saw kids she'll wave and it put a smile on the kids. There's even one kid that run so fast when she saw Spongebob and that makes us laugh so hard that we almost roll on the wood flooring. These are the times when I feel like a kid again.

Suggested photos to shoot on your vacation
Here are some general ideas and tips:

* “Welcome to...” signs
* The view from your hotel window or balcony
* Local architectural details such as doorways, columns, spires, rooftops, etc.
* Photos of your transportation—whether it be car, boat, train or bicycle
* “Icons” of your vacation—what are you going here to see?
* Landmarks
* Your favorite meal
* Street signs
* Photos of the local culture
* Street entertainment or other cultural activities
* Ticket stubs, maps, receipts
* Family mementos
* Sporting events and activities not in your “normal” schedule
* Native plants and animals
* Different “perspectives” (for example, a city scape from the top of a skyscraper or the view from a mountain top)
* Most importantly, keep your camera handy to capture those shots of your family or friends simply enjoying being together

How To Digi Scrap? Digital Scrapbooking Tutorials

I have few friends who have been seeing my digi scrap layouts and my photobooks and they are somewhat curious on how to do it. My sis JoyD recently got hooked on digital scrapbooking too, i thought her some few tricks on how to put shadows etc. but she also learned on her own by reading tutorials online.

I started my digital scrapping way back in 2006 and I was still using PSP8 (Corel Paintshop pro) that time. It was a very friendly image editing program especially for the newbies. I later on shifted to PSCS3 (Photoshop CS3) bec. it is more flexible and there are more tricks that you can do there. You can also use: Photoshop elements

To get you started here are some few links that can help you:
1. Squidoo
2. Basic Tutorials by Shabby Shoppe
3. A Little bit advance tuts from Scrapbook bytes

~~~As for the the digital kits, there are tons of FREEBIES out there that designers are sharing: you find by them at - IKEA GODDESS
~~ I also buy digital kits once in a while esp. if there are sale; my fave digital scrapping stores are:
1. Sweet Shoppe Designs
2. Studio Girls - they have $1 deals daily
3. Funky Playground
4. Shabby Pickle Designs
5.
Here's a tutorial on YouTube using photoshop. You can find more on You tube
Proj. 365: Self Portrait
PROJECT 365: Self- Portrait
March-12 (Thursday)--Day-71
Reign (my niece) saw me taking photos for my photo a day so she borrowed her mom's camera and little did I know she was also taking photos of what I am taking.. hehe. I didn't teased her for doing that bec. I know she'll stop or she'll become shy.
Later on i found her taking photos of herself so my attention was put to her. Kids these days are very clever in using gadgets and gosh i guess in no time she'll be using DSLR already. She had fun taking photos of anything, she even took photos of me and my butt.. LOL.. She end up being my photo a day.
Having fun
I had fun taking photos of what she was doing that i nearly run out of space on my compact flash memory hehe. I love her photos and soon I will scrap it and will make her a photobook
Digi Scrapping Addict
Yep that's me.... I've been very busy lately doing that and sometimes I have no more time to blog or do blog hopping. I have made 2 photobooks already (printed already) and I am about to finish 2 more photobooks that I hope I can have printed soon at Artscow.
Proj. 365: Sick Again
PROJECT 365: Sick Again
My poor 11 yr. old nephew, Dither was sick since Sunday. He's been vomiting has fever and complained of headache. SIL and my bro brought them to his doctor and gave her some medicines for his tonsilitis. Today (tues.) he was not able to go school bec. he is sick again, he has no fever but still got a headache. Poor kid..
FIY, he doesn't like to eat veggies or any meat while eating rice.. very picky! he can only eat rice with soup (SABAW lang talaga!!!) either tinola, nilaga or sinigang.. Dunno what's wrong with him really, if we force him to eat rice with meat or anything he'll throw it up..
Last year, he got sick of Dengue and has 50/50 chance of survival but thank God he survived it. He got so thin that he looks like he's been taking weight loss pills but it is bec. he got really sick. Anyway, with God's graces he went to school already this morning.
Proj. 365: Backaches
PROJECT 365: Backaches
March-10 (Tuesday)--Day-69
Since yesterday I was not feeling good bec. of my PMS. I really have a hard time when it is my 1st day and I'm lucky that i don't have any business cards or wedding invitations to make for a client bec. for sure I can't do it. Backaches, leg cramps, sungit blues, cold feet, bloating, and heavy feeling are just some of the things I suffer.
This morning I woke up with a backache bec. I slept without a pillow and it was just so uncomfortable. Got my massager and massaged my back a bit but asked my mom to do it for me so I was relieved. Showed it to my nephew, niece and the rest and they took turns on massaging me lol. They also had fun doing it on themselves bec. it is ticklish too haha..
Proj. 365: Iron Woman
PROJECT 365: Iron Woman
March-8 (Sunday)--Day-67
One of the chores that I hate doing is IRONING.. arghhh.. but last Sunday, I have no choice but to do it bec. I have nothing to wear anymore this week.
Actually I didn;t get bored while doing it bec. I did my ironing in front of the TV. I was watching SHARON that time and I was laughing bec. their guest where gays who sung and act like macho while wearing women's clothes.It took me a while to finish my ironing bec. I was busy taking photos hahaha..
Proj. 365: Shopping Time
PROJECT 365: Shopping Time
March-7 (Saturday)--Day-66
I've been hooked to digiscrapping (particularly making photbooks) lately that I once in a while purchase kits only when they are sale hehe.. Last Sat. I bought 2 $1 kits from Valorie Brown at Funky Playground and i got a FREE kit courtesy of Corina N. yehey,...
I love Valorie's kits so when I saw her kits where on sale, i grabbed it immediately. I already used some of the elements on the new photobook that I am making.
Proj. 365: Winchester Eye Glasses
PROJECT 365: For my Eyes Only
March-2 (Monday)--Day-61
This is my reading glasses that I bought last Nov. 08. I find it hard to read mags or even use the computer without it.
Bro bought about 20 pcs. of old YES, cosmopolitan etc.. magazines from a "magbobote" (junk collectors) yesterday and it only costs P70.00 What a steal! To think they are only dated from just last year. At the malls they are even sold for 3 for P100.
So I was glued to reading magazines yesterday eventhough the stories are old already.. LOL
Proj. 365: Antique Phil. Bottles
PROJ. 365: Antique Bottles
Feb. 28 (Saturday)--Day 59
These are some of the Antique Bottles of the Phils Circa 50's 60's and 70's. FYI, my oldest bro collects memorabililas from old LPs, coins, bottles, photos of celebs.. and many more. He has a small gallery here at their house that serves or starts up a conversation.
I was looking for something interesting to take pictures and he told me to take some shots of these cool antique bottles that probably most us didn't see yet. These are his precious collections that he has collected over the years. Can you recognize any?
